Salma Hayek got her big breakthrough in Hollywood through a part in Robert Rodriguez's Desperado before advancing to the top of the business with her Academy Award-nominated turn in Frida. Hayek has also been active in television including as the executive producer of the hit series Ugly Betty. Salma Hayek Jimenez began her life on the 2nd of September, 1966.
