Anamaria Marinca is Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress. Her film debut came with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for where she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. The actress is fluent in French, German and English. Her mother played the violin as did her father, who is a professor of theater at one the best drama schools in Europe. The Romanian Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008, she was honoured as"a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. Apart from her stellar performance in the film she made her debut she will also remember her role in the Romanian Arts Film 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days that earned her numerous distinctions including an award called the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 week si 2 days (4 Three Weeks 4 Months 2 Days) made by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). In addition, she appeared as young in the film of the film of Francis Ford Coppola, Youth Without Youth. She was Yasim Awar in BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was a part of the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's award-winning Five Minutes of Heaven. In the film Fury (2014) her character was Irma she was a German woman who played Emma's aunt.
