Antonia Lofaso
The menu that is served by Chef Antonia invites you to discover the inner depths. The food she serves evokes curiosity that grew out of stepping away from the suburban spaces of Long Island and into the multicultural landscape that is Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas co-existing with each other on a menu is a belief she holds. What remains is her singular idea of the future and longingly recalling the historical past. Influenced by her Italian-American roots, Lofaso launched Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 that was highly acclaimed. The old-fashioned Italian style is widely considered to be to be one the Los Angeles' most captivating restaurant experiences. The customers describe Scopa as an important local institution where Lofaso regularly offers food that is genuine and incredibly satisfying. Lofaso trained under legendary chefs and learned their sophisticate techniques but she was not afraid to make bold decisions for her sense of self. She quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went into working closely with celebrity chefs in a number of Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso and Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to create Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. She has settled in Black Market, and through the partnerships that she created. Lofaso found the opportunity in her work to pursue the creativity she longed for through this partnership. Black Market has no one idea in its head and it is that way. The course could begin with chips of dill potato, shishito chilies and then proceed to Korean meal of meatballs and wings. Antonia is the anchor for this bold array of tastes. Throughout her career Lofaso has measured her success through her ability to understand her audience while staying true to her own personal style. Apart from her memorable appearances of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her distinct style was also recognized outside of the kitchen. The present day she continues be awe-inspiring on television as an CNBC judge and has a regular appearance on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. In 2012 Lofaso was a part of Penguin to launch"The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 recipes for quick Delicious homemade Meals, which also tells about the struggles she had to overcome while attending the world-class French Culinary Institute, and while raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that all of her successes stem from the passion she feels for cooking. It is in this vein that Lofaso remains on the eye on trends. She is transforming the design by creating chef's wear to be functional and stylish with her own brand Chefletics. Her main focus is staying in line with her mission. With this in mind she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. This will provide clients with an incredibly personal experience.
